Description
This introductory lesson is designed for beginners who want to build a solid foundation in classic cross‑country skiing. The focus is on learning the essential skills needed to move safely, confidently, and efficiently on skis.

During the lesson, you will learn:

  • How to put on and take off skis and poles correctly
  • Basic stance and balance on flat terrain
  • How to glide and shift weight from one ski to the other
  • Simple turning techniques on flat ground
  • How to get up after a fall
  • How to walk uphill using herringbone (V‑shape) and side‑stepping
  • How to control speed and stop safely using basic braking techniques
  • Introduction to diagonal stride (the classic cross‑country walking/gliding technique)

Goal of the Lesson
By the end of the session, you will feel more stable on skis, understand the basic movements of classic cross‑country skiing, and be able to move independently on gentle terrain. This foundation prepares you for longer tours and more advanced technique training.
