Alpine skiing course - Introduction

1 200,00 kr

Description

1200 NOK per person per session 1.5 hour over 1 day.
This beginner lesson is designed for those who are completely new to skiing or who want a safe and structured introduction to the basics. The lesson takes place at a ski resort in Akershus, within a 30 km radius, and all necessary ski equipment can be borrowed directly from the resort.

Participants should wear warm, comfortable clothing that allows free movement. Bringing warm drinks and snacks is recommended, and cafés at the resort also offer hot food and beverages. Please arrive fully dressed and ready so we can start the lesson on time.

During the session, you will learn:

  • What skis and bindings are, and how to put them on and take them off
  • How to stand, move, and keep your balance on flat and slightly sloped terrain
  • How to glide and make simple turns on flat ground
  • How to step over small obstacles
  • How to get up after a fall without removing your skis
  • How to walk uphill sideways and in a herringbone (V‑shape)
  • How to slide down a gentle slope using the plough brake for speed control

Goal of the Lesson
By the end of the beginner lesson, you will feel comfortable standing and moving on skis, understand the basic equipment, and be able to control your speed and direction on gentle terrain. This foundation prepares you for the next stage of skiing progression, including learning plough turns and eventually transitioning toward parallel skiing.
