HOW TO DRESS AND WHAT TO TAKE
- warm comfortable ski cloth with insulation according to the temperature: base layer, mid layer - merino or synthetic, shell jacket and pants, gloves, thin binny that can go under ski helmet, neck warmer or full mask,
- take paper napkins, comfortable one day backpack that you can carry with you, it can be left on the snow within the view for beginners and on your back for advanced if desired
- rember that many mobiles do not tolerate cold, so take warm pauch for your mobile phone
- warm drinks like tea, coffee and couple of sandwiches would be a great idea to have with you
- NO scarfs, sharp items in the pokets!
EQUIPMENT
Cross country equipment
Cross country skiing equipment can be borrowed preliminary at various companies or on finn.no in Oslo. It is advisable to try the boots before you sign a deal. Ski length for beginners is recommended your hight + 10-15cm, poles up to your armpit.
Alpine ski equipment
Alpine skis has to be shorter for beginners in a range 15-10cm shorter than your hight, poles from the ground to your elbow +10cm when standing on a concrete floor
Boots should be tight and comfortable: put them on and bend forward or squat to move the sole back - the toes should hardly touch the front of the boot in it. It should not be painful to stand straight in them
Bindings can be set according to your weight - 4din for 40kg, 5din for 50, et st accordingly. The instructor can help you before the lesson in allocated 30min.
Rock Climbing
Comfortable light pants covering the knees and T-short. take your water bottle. The rest you can rent at the climbing centre. You can take your backpack to the training floor but it is best to use the lockers, you will need personal lock. It is advisable to bring a towel if you want to take a shower after the session. There is a nice caffee warm drinks and food.
